Gateway Theatre Guild -- Agincourt as Hockey

Posted at NU, but nowhere on the Web I can find, is an amazing poster advertising a local production of Henry V, with the Hundred Years War reinterpreted as the 1967 Stanley Cup Series between the Leafs and the Habs.

I didn't grow up with hockey, but I have to say this intrigues me.

If anyone has information or better yet the poster in an image file, please send them to me.

  1. I am a father of teens here in North Bay and not being a sports fan or a fan of "The Bard" I have to say I am intregued as well. I was wondering if you knew what kind of diologue will be featured in the play because if it's in "old Shakespeare" my kids wont be interested and therefore will miss an opportunity to learn about Shakespeare or Agincourt.
As you requested, I happen to have a tent poster I "borrowed" from Grecco's. Just email me at barretted@personainternet.com and I will be more than happy to send you a copy of it with Les Habitants Red or Maple-Leaf Blue borders.

Rod Carley was the playwright and director of Henry V, and is a lecturer at Nipissing/Canadore Drama.

Also, the image was probably done by Ed Regan Photography of North Bay.
