History departments get a lot of free books from publishers in hopes that profs will put them on their reading lists. Sometimes this actually works. Other times the books just pile up.This month the NU History Department got four copies of the latest edition of a very good book on the European Witch Hunt. The first three readers to contact me via comments to the blog get their names put on a copy, which I will hold for them until September. No, I won't send them anywhere.
Update: They are gone. I am happy to say all three went to NU History students. I've posted your requests as comments so you know who you are.
