After last Thursday's lecture on ancient metallurgy, at least one student was curious about why I had a used smelting furnace in my backyard.

Also, that is a really cool explanation as to why there was a forge in your backyard. I was expecting something along the lines of "we were putting in a fancy fence" or something. Definitely cooler than a fence.
