Elizabeth: the Golden Age (2007) -- a killer review...

...one for the ages.

I haven't seen this movie and after this comment from a friend I'm in no hurry:

"Elizabeth" is to Elizabethan history as "Muppet Treasure Island" is to ... Elizabethan history.

LOL! It's true. But everybody looked so good in the duds. Except when King Philip of Spain walked. That's was pure WTF! And why rewrite the Tilbury speech? It wasn't that long to beginning with.

But everybody looked so good in the duds and the sea dogs save the day really, so I was a happy customer of Hollywood balderdash.

I'm also guessing that the rumored third movie will have Essex as the secondary lead since they've now covered Leicester and Raliegh.

They rewrote the Tilbury speech? That's just unforgivable.

I was maybe the only person I knew who thought the previous "Elizabeth" movie was crap; sounds like this one's staying true to form.
