Is Amazon re-inventing the book?


This is better than the usual Newsweek article.

On the other hand, if this is what the Kindle e-book reader looks like, I'll rein in my enthusiasm. whoa. whoa.

    I don't think I can see myself reading a book on that. I like turning pages and writing in margins and getting my books all bent up and worn and loved. Plus, how am I to impress strangers on the subway with my learned reading material if they can't see the dust-jackets?
