Well, anything's got to be better than 'Kingdom of Heaven' (and Charlton Heston actually looked pretty good in those days before he became the poster-boy for the NRA).
Unliving warrior Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar striking terror into his foes in the final scene was pretty cool, although showing his complete indifference to Saracen arrows might have been even cooler.
I did cringe at the completely inadequate neck protection worn during the judicial duel. I'll bet Sir Nigel Loring would have had the same reaction.
If a poll could be held of actual medieval people, they would chose it as the best movie ever.
