Minor triumph
Today I heard from the editors of a book I am appearing in that the deadline for first drafts is just two months away.
I sent my first draft in last week.
Boy, that feels good!

Congratulations! The real question is, of course, how long will everyone else take to manage this? The one slack contributor is the death of the edited volume...

Not my problem! It will be my problem, though, if they want a rewrite.
