  1. Very nice, but Ephemeral New York is quite wrong to call it a "drypoint etching". Drypoint and etching are very different techniques, although they are sometimes both used on the same plate. This is a drypoint and etching or etching with drypoint, with drypoint used to add deep velvety blacks.

    The great drawback of drypoint is that the plate wears out much more quickly than an etching.
