An interesting set of recent quotes

Chester Scoville has some interesting quotations from American pro-war writers over at his blog, The Vanity Press. There are days I am that angry.

Do people talk like this in Canada?

  1. "In his book Income and Wealth, economist Alan Reynolds says that people often form “strong opinions” based on “weak statistics.” Unfortunately, that is also true of a wide range of other issues, from “global warming” to “gender bias.”"

This made me laugh. Yes global warming and gender bias are weak statistics! What a moron.

  2. OK ... yet another reason to write my way out of my job -- not that I don't love it, but really, I'd like to go back to being an ex-pat.
